Autumn is here!

As the leaves on the trees are beginning to change colour, we have been doing lots of fun autumn themed activities. Both nursery and reception children had a ‘big’ paint afternoon with our textured sand paints that were mixed in all the colours we could see on the trees outside.

Reception class mixed their own autumn colours and used brushes and roller sponges to create texture on paper. Once they had dried we traced around some stencil leaves and cut them out. They are now wonderfully displayed in our classroom on our very own indoor tree!

Nursery went on a hunt for the most colourful autumn leaves they could find to make circles, spirals and nests inspired by the artist Andy Goldsworthy.

We even helped our caretaker to clear up the autumn leaves from our playground and had lots of fun doing it. He was, of course, extremely pleased!
